Dr. Diana Puñales-Morejon
Diana Puñales-Morejon, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in the State of New York. She is a dynamically trained psychologist with specialty training in the area of multicultural psychology. Her clinical areas of focus include: immigration and Latino psychology, domestic violence, childhood trauma and abuse, health psychology and acculturative stress. Dr. Puñales has extensive clinical experience in working specifically with Latino/a/x, bilingual and monolingual Spanish speaking, racially and ethnically diverse, impoverished high risk clinical populations and is very adept to the specific interventions that best service these populations.
Dr. Puñales co-directs the Rafael Tavares Clinic at Columbia University Medical Center/ New York Presbyterian Hospital, which is a Spanish-specialty clinic that exclusively services individuals who are monolingual Spanish speaking, with a broad range of mental health complications. She additionally services as the psychology externship Director at Presbyterian, where she spearheads all extern-level training for the next generation of psychologists. Dr. Puñales is also the current director of the Psychological Center which serves as the Training Clinical for the Clinical Psychology PhD Program at The City College of New York (CCNY), where she spearheads several initiatives on servicing clients of diverse racial-ethnic backgrounds.
