Dr. Marie Lucia Miville
Marie L. Miville, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is the author of two books, Multicultural gender roles: Applications for mental health and education (2013, Wiley) and Handbook of race-ethnicity and gender in psychology (2014, Springer) and over 70 publications dealing with multicultural issues in counseling and psychology. Dr. Miville is a founding member and Past-President of the National Latina/o Psychological Association (NLPA) and a past Vice President for Education and Training for the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 17 (2013-2016). She is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development, the Book Series Editor for APA Division 44, and has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including Journal of Counseling Psychology, Journal of Latina/o Psychology, and Training and Education in Professional Psychology. Awards include the Janet E. Helms Award for Mentoring and Scholarship, the APA Division 44 Distinguished Contributions to Ethnic Minority Issues Award, and APA Fellow status.
