ABOUT

Values and Philosophy My belief and passion have married to embrace the manifestation of my credence that therapists are born to do this work. That is what has allowed me to create a synergy in guiding clients toward healing. Within my therapeutic practice, I collaborate with clients using a systemic, problem-centered, integrative approach fundamental to one’s well-being and healing. Within the therapy process we will discuss the goals you identify utilizing identified strengths and resiliencies that can be a valuable vehicle addressing pathways for growth and healing. My philosophy is that therapy is a collaborative process where discoveries of self are found through the process of change. As a therapist, I provide support and guidance in the collaborative process. My belief is that our relationship with partners, extended families, peers, children and acquaintances are inherent mechanisms in navigating our lives. There are times when mechanisms we use for life may create barriers to the pathways of healing. Within the therapeutic process we can navigate through these identified barriers and explore vulnerabilities working to achieve healing. Training and Experience I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Adler University. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over ten years experience within the field of mental health. I have specific training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I have comprehensive clinical experience working with adults, children, couples, and families with anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem/identity, self-confidence, adjustment difficulties, life transitions and relationship dynamics. My additional areas of specialty include: Working with the transgender population including their family members also seeking support, grief and sexual traumas. Having the experience of living within many parts of this country as well as outside of the country, (Brazil) have offered me the opportunity to embrace the myriad complexities of us as human beings striving for purpose, self awareness and a connection to others.
