I’m an experienced Marriage & Family Therapist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care field. I am skilled in Pre-Marital, Marital, depression, anxiety, and family therapy. I borrow interventions and concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and focus on approaches that are solution driven and are based on mindfulness, acceptance of the here and now, and strengths and reality-based. I also make use of the training received for levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Sound Relationship House Theory and I am a professional member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. I understand that everyone’s journey is different and significant. As a therapist, I am dedicated to honoring that fact by working with clients to do the same: understand their individual walk in life and create a hopeful and realistic narrative of self and the world. The individual is the true agent of change and I pride myself in my understanding that I am but a mediator, a guide in someone’s search of clear understanding of themselves. I strongly believe that nothing happens in life that is not meant to happen, and clients are more tenacious than they think. In my practice, clients learn to identify what it is they need to thrive and face and overcome life’s obstacles and I am with them throughout the process.
